Measuring (and big numbers)

“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…” so opens each episode of the “Star Wars” movies.

One thing that is always a part of astronomy and space is that the numbers involved are big -- really big!

Children’s literature sometimes introduces ideas of measurement, and occasionally deals with large measurements.
