Make It Count is for educators working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners in mathematics education. It is a teaching and learning resource, and a professional learning tool. Make It Count is about a way of thinking – and a way of doing.

In this webinar, A Positive Mathematics Journey, Chris will share some of his story as an Aboriginal student who survived the education system by thriving on mathematics to become an Aboriginal mathematician and gain a Doctorate in Applied Mathematics.
Exploring mathematical problems beyond the tip of the Iceberg
This is a highlighted event that will showcase great ways in which Matt Skoss uses online resources in the Mathematics. A constant challenge for a teacher is to cater for the diversity of students in their classes. I am always looking to incorporate rich Maths tasks that are easy for students to make a start on the problem, but once students are engaged in the problem, they are exposed to the deeper, richer Mathematics lurking beneath the surface, hence the use of the 'iceberg' metaphor.
